Easterly surface winds will prevail today as high pressure builds overhead. Temps will be a little cooler today and RH readings not quite as low in some sections of east central Montana as they were Wednesday. Look for temps ramping back up for Friday with some of our warmest readings so far this season (mid 80s to lower 90s). Humidity readings will be in the upper teens and 20s. Scattered showers/thunderstorms are expected to track west to east over the districts Friday into Friday night. Some storms could be strong to severe and produce considerable lightning. Warm temps and a chance of thunderstorms continues through the weekend. There remains a chance of a significant weather system (widespread wetting rain) impacting our region Monday-Tuesday with the possibility of some snow in the high country. However, a good deal of uncertainty exists yet with that system.
