Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
324 PM EDT Mon Jun 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Hot conditions continue across the region. A frontal boundary
will cross the Midlands and CSRA this afternoon. The low level
moisture will diminish overnight and into Wednesday as the
surface winds shift to the north and northeast. The widely
scattered showers and thunderstorms across the eastern Midlands
and Pee Dee this afternoon will diminish this evening. The
boundary will stall and weaken across the region on Tuesday.
This will be the focus for an isolated shower or thunderstorm
but most areas will remain dry and hot.

Widely scattered convection possible late week as another front
moves into the area. However, the air mass will remain hot with
mainly dry conditions through the period.

Fog potential for tonight: No fog expected.
