.SYNOPSIS...
A weak cold front will move east of the area this morning. A
secondary cold front will push through tonight. High pressure
will return for the start of the week.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH MONDAY/...
1230 PM Update...
The forecast remains on track and no changes were needed with
this update.

930 AM Update...
Clouds have begun to scatter out this morning, allowing for
peaks of sunshine to move across the area. Clouds should
continue to clear out today with mostly sunny skies allowing
temperatures to climb into the 70s. Overall a pleasant day and
no significant changes were needed with this update.

Previous discussion...
A weak cold front has pushed through the area this morning. We
are still seeing post frontal scattered rain showers over
portions of NEOH and NWPA. These rain showers will move east of
our area shortly after sunrise. Clouds associated with rain
showers and cold front will slowly lift out later this morning
as well.

An upper level trough over the Upper and Eastern Great Lakes
region will dig across the area today. Westerly winds will pick
up and become gusty later this morning through the afternoon up
to 30 mph. We will see some sunshine later this morning through
the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the lower 70s over
NWPA and NEOH. Upper 70s for high temps will be over NWOH today.
Clouds will start to increase once again by this evening. A
secondary cold front will move across the area tonight. This
front will be slightly stronger with cooler air behind it. A few
rain showers will be possible this evening over far NEOH and
NWPA with this next cold front. High pressure will build in from
southern Ontario late tonight into Monday. Clearing skies will
arrive behind this front later tonight and Monday. Overnight
temps will be in the lower to middle 50s. Monday`s high
temperatures will be noticeably cooler in the 60s. A few
locations in NWOH could climb to 70 degrees.

.SHORT TERM /MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...
Upper level trough will continue to exit to the east as high
pressure builds over the region from the Upper Midwest. This high
will bring dry and quiet weather to the region through the short
term period. High temperatures will be slightly below normal in the
low to mid 70s on Tuesday before rising into the mid to upper 80s by
Wednesday under broad southerly flow and WAA.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Above normal temperatures with periods of shower and thunderstorm
chances will be the story through the long term period. High
temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s Thursday and Friday
before a cold front swings across the region Thursday night into
Friday. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms along the front
primarily during the day Friday. Slightly cooler and closer to
normal by Saturday behind the front as highs rise into the upper 70s
to lower 80s.

.AVIATION /18Z Sunday THROUGH Thursday/...
Primarily VFR conditions have moved across the area, although
there are very patchy MVFR clouds heights amongst the diurnal cu
field developing. These VFR conditions will persist into tonight
before another shortwave trough and weak surface boundary moves
east across the area and lowers clouds to MVFR heights. The only
terminal that will rebound by the end of this period is KTOL,
but the rest will remain MVFR into Monday afternoon. In
addition, with the passage of the boundary, there is no
precipitation expected other than at KERI where they is a chance
of a light rain shower late this afternoon into tonight, but
with low confidence opted to keep it out of the TAF. Winds this
afternoon will increase to 12-15 knots from the northwest with
gusts up to 20-25 knots possible. The strongest gusts should be
limited to the western terminals. After sunset, winds will
weaken to 5-10 knots and persist from the northwest through the
remainder of the period.

Outlook...Non-VFR ceilings are possible Sunday night into
Monday.

.MARINE...
Weak low will exit the the east early this morning as a mid level
ridge builds overhead and winds decrease to 10-15 knots. Winds
briefly turn west-southwesterly ahead of our next trough this
afternoon before returning northwesterly while increasing to 15-20
knots late tonight. Onshore flow will allow for waves to build to 2-
4 feet this afternoon and evening. A Small Craft Advisory and Beach
Hazards Statement are in effect from this afternoon through late
tonight. North to northwest winds will persist through Monday as
upper trough remains overhead. High pressure builds over the region
by Tuesday and will allow for quiet conditions on Lake Erie through
the end of the week.
