...Notable but below river flood levels expected on the Rio Grande...

For the Rio Grande at Columbia Bridge.
* At 7:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet (2.7 meters).
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet (5.5 meters).
* Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet (4.9 meters).
* Caution stage is 10.0 feet (3.0 meters).
* Forecast:  The river is expected to rise to above caution levels
  Thursday afternoon, then crest at around 13.3 feet late Thursday
  night or early Friday morning. The river is expected to fall below
  caution stage Friday evening.



For the Rio Grande at Laredo.
* At 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 1.9 feet (0.6 meters).
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet (2.4 meters).
* Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters).
* Caution stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters).
* Forecast: The river will continue  to rise to above caution levels
  Thursday night or Friday morning, cresting at around 7.7 ft Friday
  morning. The river is expected to fall below caution stage by
  Friday evening.
