For the Rio Grande at Columbia Bridge. * At 8:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.8 feet (2.1 meters). * Flood stage is 18.0 feet (5.5 meters). * Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet (4.9 meters). * Caution stage is 10.0 feet (3.0 meters). * Forecast: The river will continue to rise to above caution levels Thursday morning then cresting at around 11.3 feet (3.4 meters) late Thursday night or Friday morning. The river is then expected to fall below caution stage Friday evening.
