.DISCUSSION...
Abundant sunshine and light wind will continue for this afternoon
with high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Clear skies
early tonight will be followed by increasing clouds early Saturday
as a rather compact but potent upper level disturbance moves
southeast from the Great Lakes. This weather feature will bring
scattered rain showers and even a few thunderstorms to the
area Saturday, with the heaviest showers and storms during the
afternoon and evening.
In general, forecast QPF is less than 0.50 inch (maximized over
the Laurels), but localized higher amounts are possible in
thunderstorms, and amounts near 0 certainly possible for places
that get missed given the scattered nature of the convection.
Clouds will stick around for much of central PA on Sunday,
although the rain will have moved out. Some drizzle is possible in
the higher terrain of central PA early Sun. The next chance for
rain showers is late Sunday night into Mon.
