Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
540 AM EDT Wed May 29 2024

Showers and thunderstorms will maneuver from Ohio and West
Virginia across Pennsylvania today before eventually exiting to
the northeast over New Jersey and Long Island New York by later
tonight. A few heavier cells could produce locally heavy downpours
with maximum rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches.

A stretch of cooler than average temperatures will close out the
month of May. Highs today will range from the lower 60s in the
northern tier mountains to mid 70s around Philadelphia.

High pressure from Canada will build into the region and provide
a extended break in the rain for most of the Keystone State from
Thursday through Saturday. A couple of relatively chilly nights
lie ahead with some frost possible in the northern tier cold spots
Thursday night into early Friday morning.

The bout of autumn-like temperatures won`t last long with a nice
warmup coming over the weekend into early next week to begin the
month of June.
