Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1127 AM EDT Wed May 29 2024

Low pressure crossing the area will produce scattered showers and
thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening. Locally heavy
downpours are possible. High temperatures will range from the mid
60s across the Allegheny Plateau to the upper 70s in the
Philadelphia area.

Lingering showers will diminish tonight. Patchy fog is possible,
with lows ranging from around 40 degrees in the chillier valleys
of north-central Pennsylvania to the upper 50s in the immediate
Philadelphia area.

High pressure from Canada will build into the region and provide
a extended break in the rain for most of the Keystone State from
Thursday through Saturday. A couple of relatively chilly nights
lie ahead with some frost possible in the northern tier cold spots
Thursday night into early Friday morning.

The bout of cooler temperatures won`t last long, with a warmup
coming as we head into the month of June.
