Expect plenty of sunshine. High temperatures today will range from the mid 90s in the northeastern and western cities to upper 80s on the highest elevations. An uptick in humidity today will push the heat index above 100 in many places this afternoon. There will be some isolated showers and thunderstorms over northern and western PA this afternoon and early this evening. This pattern will repeat each day for the rest of the week. Low temperatures tonight will be between 65 and 70 degrees, giving no break from the humidity. As the week continues, temperatures will inch higher, with highs regularly in the 90s. The heat can be dangerous for the elderly and the very young, as well as for those people without air conditioning, and those who work outdoors. $$
