Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1124 AM EDT Sun May 26 2024

Any lingering fog or low clouds will dissipate by early afternoon
giving way to mainly clear skies. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms could pop up in the afternoon along and south of the
Turnpike and in the Poconos. Expect highs again in the upper 70s
on the highest elevations of the Alleghenies and in the mid 80s in
the valleys of the Commonwealth.

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will then start with
showers spreading across the state in the evening and first half
of tonight. Additional rain will move through later at night,
lingering well into the morning in the east on Memorial Day.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop through the
daylight hours on Monday, gradually moving west to east. The
storms that fire up could become severe with damaging winds and
hail, particularly across the southern half of the state in the
afternoon and very early evening. Heavy rain is also a threat,
especially for eastern PA on Monday into the first part of Monday
night. Morning lows will be in the 60s with afternoon highs will
be mostly in the 70s. A few southern towns will get near 80
degrees.

Be aware of the weather for any activities you are planning this
weekend, and be prepared to change your plans to stay safe from
hazardous weather.
