...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN POTTER AND
NORTHWESTERN TIOGA COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 147 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 20
miles southeast of Wellsville, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Elkland, Galeton, Westfield, Gaines, Harrison Valley, Knoxville,
Ulysses, Osceola, and Ski Denton Ski Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Occasional, dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with
this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
