At 821 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking slow moving and training strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Canton to 14 miles southwest of Wellsboro to 30 miles northeast of St. Marys. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wellsboro, Wharton, Morris, Blossburg, Galeton, Arnot, Cross Fork, Leetonia, Cherry Springs State Park, Leonard Harrison State Park, Ralston, Keating Summit, Denton Hill State Park, Tamarack, Ogdensburg, Cedar Run, Ole Bull State Park, Slate Run, Lyman Run State Park, and Buttonwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms as they train to the east over the same locations and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
