Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
153 AM MDT Tue Jun 4 2024

...STRONG WINDS ACROSS SOUTHEAST WYOMING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

.DISCUSSION...
Two rounds of strong winds are expected behind cold fronts moving
through the area the next couple days. The first cold front moved
through us last evening with strong winds developing in the wind prone
areas by late last evening. May see a brief break in winds this afternoon
before the second cold front moves through this evening. After these
two fronts move through...high pressure is expected to build over the
Rockies with much warmer temperatures and dry weather. Afternoon
humidity expected to become critical each day with low to mid teens
expected each day. Overnight humidity recoveries expected to be poor.
Next chances for rain look to be Friday as next cold front moves
through the area. Given fuels are not receptive for rapid fire spread...
fire weather conditions are expected to be low to none through the week.
