Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
135 PM MDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will remain elevated today through early next
week. Afternoon minimum humidity values will be near critical at 10-15
percent today and Sunday. Gusty and erratic winds are expected today
as dry thunderstorms occur across the FWZs. Any thunderstorms that
have rainfall are not expected to result in a wetting rain greater
than 0.10 inches. Maximum wind gusts from dry thunderstorms will be
near or above 50mph today. Overnight humidity recovery will be fair
for FWZs west of the Laramie Range, as 30-40 percent is anticipated
in the higher terrain close to the nighttime inversion, with good to
excellent humidity recovery for FWZs east of the Laramie Range.
