This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for this afternoon for forecast
heat index values of 103 to 107 degrees. Also, there is a Marginal
Risk (Level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms later this afternoon
into the evening hours. The main risk for any of the widely
scattered storms will be damaging wind gusts to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Thunderstorms are forecast to develop across eastern Colorado
Wednesday afternoon and eventually move east across western Kansas
later in the evening and late night. There is a Marginal Risk
(Level 1 of 5) for severe storms across mainly far west central
Kansas. There will be nightly chances for thunderstorms through
the late week into the weekend with some locally excessive
rainfall amounts possible.

Storm spotters are not expected to be needed this today and
tonight.
