...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT MORTON...SOUTHWESTERN GRANT...
WESTERN STEVENS AND SOUTHEASTERN STANTON COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM
CDT...

At 626 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northeast of Richfield, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of Morton,
southwestern Grant, western Stevens and southeastern Stanton
Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southwestern Kansas.
