...The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  St. Louis River at Scanlon affecting northeastern Carlton County
  and southern St. Louis County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.  Expect high and
swift water on the St. Louis River as it flows through Jay Cooke
State Park.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and remains forecast.

* WHERE...St. Louis River at Scanlon.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Minor flooding occurs of low areas
  adjacent to the river near Cloquet city park and near Scanlon.
  At 11.0 feet, Water encroaches on the lowest sites at the Fond du
  Lac Campground and Chambers Grove Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 10.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this afternoon and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    10.8 feet on 08/23/1978.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
