.DISCUSSION...

Very warm temperatures are expected this afternoon as southerly
flow continues ahead of an approaching low pressure system. Cloud
cover will be increasing from the west this afternoon and evening
as a cold front moves towards northwest Wisconsin. Shower activity
currently observed near Brainerd, MN is not expected to impact the
Barnes area this evening. However, shower and thunderstorms will
be possible early Thursday morning around the 0400-0600 timeframe.

A second round of stronger thunderstorms developing along the cold
front will be moving through in the late afternoon on Thursday
around 1800-2000. Expect gusty and erratic winds around any
thunderstorms. Winds tomorrow will maintain a southerly component,
gradually shifting to the west late Thursday night into Friday
morning following the cold frontal passage.
