Taconite Harbor to Silver Bay Harbor MN...

At 521 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 15 nm northwest of Grand
Marais Harbor to 7 nm southwest of Sugar Loaf Cove to 8 nm northwest
of Twin Points Safe Harbor to 25 nm northwest of French River, moving
east at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Beaver Bay, Mouth Of The Cross River, Grand Marais Harbor, Sugar Loaf
Cove, Tofte Safe Harbor, Split Rock Lighthouse, Twin Points Safe
Harbor, Silver Bay Marina and Ore Dock, Tofte, Taconite Harbor, and
Castle Danger.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northeastern
Minnesota.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
