...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ITASCA AND
SOUTHEASTERN KOOCHICHING COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM CDT...

At 558 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles north of Effie to 10 miles northeast
of Oslund to near Bena. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Marcell, Bigfork, Nett Lake, Northome, Effie, Squaw Lake, Mizpah,
Alvwood, Oslund, Inger, Gemmell, Margie, Scenic State Park, Lake
Winnibigoshish, Spring Lake, Deer Lake Northern Itasca County,
Bowstring, Sand Lake, Max, and Wirt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
north central and northeastern Minnesota.
