...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN ITASCA...CENTRAL ST.
LOUIS AND NORTHWESTERN LAKE COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1025 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to near
Chisholm to 6 miles northeast of Deer River. Movement was southeast
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hibbing, Grand Rapids, Ely, Lake Vermilion, Virginia, Chisholm,
Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Cohasset, Hoyt Lakes, Coleraine, Gilbert,
Aurora, Babbitt, Keewatin, Buhl, Nashwauk, Biwabik, Cherry, and
Embarrass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central and northeastern Minnesota.
