...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ST. LOUIS COUNTY
THROUGH 415 PM CDT...

At 358 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bear Head Lake State Park, or 13 miles east of Lake Vermilion, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ely, Winton, Robinson, Burntside Lake, Bear Head Lake State Park,
Fall Lake, Cummings Lake, and Shagawa Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
