...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN AITKIN AND EAST CENTRAL CROW WING COUNTIES...

At 700 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Deerwood, or 12
miles northwest of Mille Lacs Lake, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and tennis ball size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado near Deerwood.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Mille Lacs Lake, Crosby, Aitkin, Ironton, Deerwood, Cuyuna, Garrison,
Cuyuna Country State Park, Cedar Lake, Bay Lake, Glen, Wolford,
Wealthwood, Trommald, Ripple Lake, Glory, and Farm Island Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a
tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and
move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a
basement or small interior room.
