...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Part of southern Kossuth County.

* WHEN...Until 830 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
  Flooding of small creeks and streams may still be lingering.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 401 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated thunderstorms had produced rainfall amounts between
    2 and 5 inches.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Algona, Whittemore, Irvington, Algona Municipal Airport,
    Stinson Prairie State Park and Aa Call State Park.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
