Today:

A few showers continue early this morning over portions of western or
northern Iowa with partly to mostly cloudy skies elsewhere.
Temperatures early this morning are in the mid 50s to mid 60s across
the state with light winds out of the southeast under 10-15 mph.

Off and on showers and a few thunderstorms are expected today,
especially over parts of western and northern Iowa, though chances
increase slightly towards parts of central Iowa this evening. The
chances for any strong storms remains very low today, but some gusty
winds could occur at times. High temperatures today will be in the 70s
to low 80s.

Tonight and beyond:

Shower and storms end in all but eastern Iowa by early Saturday
morning with any lingering showers or storms ending in eastern Iowa
through the afternoon Saturday. Behind the end of any showers/storms,
Saturday should be a nice day with high temperatures in the 70s to
low 80s and light winds.

Storm chances return to the forecast on Sunday into Monday with some
stronger storms possible later Sunday, mainly northwest.
