Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Michigan
National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI
315 PM EDT Sat Jun 1 2024

.DISCUSSION...A plume of showers with a few rumbles of thunder across
the Midwest and Ohio valley today move into Lower Michigan tonight
and early Sunday as low pressure moves through the region. Humidity
increases considerably with this system compared to the last few
days and rainfall averages in the 0.25 to 0.75 inch range with
locally higher totals before diminishing to scattered coverage
Sunday afternoon. Dry weather moves in with weak high pressure
Sunday night which lasts through Monday until the next chance of
rain arrives Monday night. This activity kicks off an active mid
week period due to a larger low pressure system in central Canada.
