...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN OAKLAND AND SOUTHERN
MACOMB COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT...

At 302 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Rochester to near Troy to Detroit Zoo.
Movement was east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Warren, Troy, Southfield, St. Clair Shores, Pontiac, Mount Clemens,
Sterling Heights, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Clinton, Detroit Zoo,
Rochester Hills, Roseville, Eastpointe, Madison Heights, Oak Park,
Auburn Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, and Berkley.

This includes the following highways...
 I-75 between mile markers 60 and 78.
 I-94 between mile markers 226 and 241.
 I-696 between mile markers 8 and 28.
 M-10 between mile markers 15 and 18.
 M-39 between mile markers 16 and 19.
 M-53 between mile markers 16 and 19.
 M-59 between mile markers 40 and 49.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
