...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Iowa...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15 affecting Scott, Muscatine
  and Rock Island Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Friday afternoon at 1230 PM CDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water affects sections of River Drive in
  downtown Davenport from Gaines Street to 4th Street. Water affects
  2nd Street at Iowa Street. Most of Le Claire Park is under water.
  Water affects Credit Island.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.2 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 18.0 feet
    Thursday, July 04. Additional rises are expected thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
