...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Henderson, northwestern McDonough, northeastern Hancock and east
central Lee Counties through 530 PM CDT...

At 459 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Ferris, or near Carthage, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage, La Harpe, Dallas City, Ferris, Colusa, Burnside, Disco,
Adrian, and Pontoosuc.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
