The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Van Buren County in southeastern Iowa...
  Northwestern Lee County in southeastern Iowa...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 656 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mount Zion,
  or near Keosauqua, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Keosauqua, Bonaparte, Bentonsport/Vernon, Farmington, Houghton,
  Mount Sterling, Mt Hamill, Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Keosauqua
  Airport, Utica, Mount Zion, Shimek State Forest, Indian Lake Park,
  Lake Sugema Campground, Lacey Keosauqua State Park, and Kilbourn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
