The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Jo Daviess County in northwestern Illinois...
  North central Jackson County in east central Iowa...
  Central Dubuque County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 806 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Mud Lake Park to Center Grove to near Fillmore
  Recreation Area, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Dubuque, Galena, Asbury, East Dubuque, Warren, Peosta, Scales
  Mound, Apple River, Menominee, Sherrill, Council Hill, St. Donatus,
  Centralia, Sageville, Durango, Schapville, Guilford, Graf, Dubuque
  Regional Airport, and Rockdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern
Illinois...and northeastern and east central Iowa.
