The remnants of Invest 92L failed to make much inland progress, and is anticipated to dissipate entirely today. As such, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be primarily confined to east-central Georgia. Rain chances at the site are forecast to remain below 10 percent throughout the day, only approaching 10 percent in the mid to late afternoon hours today. Temperatures will continue their gradual climb today, rising above 80 degrees by 9 AM and above 90 by 12 PM. Temperatures will then remain in the 90s through the afternoon, reaching a high of 97 degrees. Conditions at the site are forecast to be slightly drier today than previously forecast, with relative humidity values below 50 percent after 11 AM and below 40 percent throughout the mid to late afternoon hours. Minimum RH values will drop as low as 32 percent. Even with relatively dry conditions, heat index values will exceed 95 degrees after 1 PM and through the remainder of the afternoon, reaching as high as 97 around 5 PM. Winds will be light and SW at 2 mph to start the morning, shifting to W by 9 AM. These W winds will then increase to 8-9 mph by noon and through the remainder of the afternoon, with occasional gusts up to 14 mph. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase late Sunday night, as a weak approaching front interacts will residual tropical moisture. Rain chances will range from 20-30 percent after midnight and until 8 AM on Monday morning.
