.DISCUSSION...

Good afternoon. The forecast for Thursday remains consistent with
previous forecast runs. The influence of high pressure centered to
the northeast of Georgia is expected to keep conditions dry and rain-
free on Thursday and Thursday night. Temperatures are expected to
rise to a high of 91 in the mid to late afternoon hours under mostly
clear skies. Temperatures will drop below 90 degrees by 7 PM,
gradually dropping through the evening hours and dropping below 80
between 10-11 PM. Relative humidity values around 40 percent in the
peak heating hours will keep heat index values from rising
noticeably higher than temperatures. Winds will be from the east at
around 10 mph with gusts up to 18 mph in the afternoon on Thursday,
dropping to 6-8 mph during the evening. Please feel free to contact
