...Numerous NWR Transmitters Are Down in North and Central Georgia...

Numerous NWR sites are currently experiencing technical
difficulties related to a telecommunications disruption. Sites
currently affected in north and central Georgia include Eastman
(KXI77), Macon (WXK71), Americus (WXJ30), Sandersville (KXI28),
Athens (WXK56), and Thomaston (WXJ31). The length of the potential
outage is currently unknown. Please visit
www.weather.gov/ffc/nwrnetwrk for information related to
alternate stations for each site. Due to the number and location
of sites affected, some areas may not have alternative service
available. Warning information will still be available through
other means, including cell phone, local TV, and local radio
stations, as well as our webpages.
