...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Cherokee, northeastern Cobb, northern Fulton and southeastern Bartow
Counties through 1015 PM EDT...

At 945 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Red Top Mountain State
Park, or near Cartersville, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Marietta, Canton, Cartersville, Mountain Park, Roswell, Kennesaw,
Woodstock, Acworth, Holly Springs, Emerson, Hickory Flat, White Water
Park, Sweat Mountain, Kellogg Creek, Red Top Mountain State Park, Oak
Grove, Kennesaw State University, Little River Landing, George
Washington Carver St Pk, and Lebanon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
