...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central Towns,
northeastern White and east central Union Counties through 800 PM
EDT...

At 728 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Blue Mountain Shelter,
or 8 miles east of Blairsville, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Helen, Unicoi State Park, Robertstown, Blue Mountain Shelter,
Brasstown Bald, Track Rock, Anna Ruby Falls, Mountain Scene, Sautee,
and Low Gap Shelter.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
