...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Dakota...Minnesota...
Vermillion River near Davis affecting Turner and Lincoln Counties.
Vermillion River near Wakonda affecting Clay County.
West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Cottonwood and
Murray Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Vermillion River near Davis.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Moderate flooding of agricultural land
begins.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 5:00 PM CDT Thursday was 12.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 13.0
feet Monday evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca.
* WHEN...From Friday afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 1428.0 feet, County Road 6 and County Road 44 begin
to flood, and there is widespread significant flooding of crop and
pasture land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 1424.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 1428.5
feet early Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 1425.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING UNTIL
FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Vermillion River near Wakonda.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Highway 19 south of Centerville is
flooded. Water reaches the bottom of the bridge on 302nd Street
east of Colfax Corner, and many of the levees will start to be
overtopped with approximately 25000 acres flooded between Davis
and Vermillion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Saturday morning and continue rising to a crest of 17.0 feet
early Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
