724 FNUS63 KFSD 242109 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 409 PM CDT Tue Sep 24 2024 .DISCUSSION... Semi-breezy north-northwesterly winds will be decreasing into the evening hours. Afternoon temperatures are in the lower to mid 70s, and with relative humidity values ranging from mid 30s to upper 40s, generally low fire danger with moderate fire danger well west of the James River Valley will continue into the evening. Some very isolated showers are observed in NW Iowa, with little to no accumulations expected. For Wednesday, light winds with temperatures in the mid 70s to lower 80s will keep fire weather conditions low, despite low RH`s in the 30 to 40 percent range. Thursday will see breezy south-southeasterly winds set up, with temperatures in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Areas west of I-29 may see RH`s dip below 30s, resulting in moderate fire danger conditions. For areas with drier grasslands, elevated fire danger conditions are possible. For areas along and east of I-29, RH`s remain in the 30 to 40 percent range, keeping fire danger conditions low.
