The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Ellis County in north central Texas...

* Until 630 AM CDT.

* At 508 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. The heaviest rain has fallen in
  and east of Midlothian to Waxahachie, or between and along US-67
  and I-35E. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Waxahachie, Midlothian, Glenn Heights, Red
  Oak, Ovilla, Venus, Oak Leaf, Pecan Hill, Ike and Rockett.

This includes Interstate 35E between mile markers 398 and 410.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
