The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Dallas County in north central Texas...

* Until 600 AM CDT.

* At 416 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across southern Dallas County. The heaviest rain has
  fallen along and north of I-20 between Duncanville and Balch
  Springs. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in this
  area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Dallas, Mesquite, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster,
  Balch Springs, Glenn Heights, Hutchins, Wilmer, Ovilla, Cedar Hill
  State Park and Joe Pool Lake.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35E between mile markers 411 and 424.
Interstate 45 between mile markers 272 and 281.
Interstate 20 between mile markers 458 and 476.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
