A disturbance and associated cold front will cross the region today bringing increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms, spreading from west to east this afternoon and evening. Some storms could become severe with large hail and strong winds. Cool, but breezy conditions will prevail on Friday with lingering showers and thunderstorms. Ridging will build over the area for the weekend bringing warmer and drier conditions. Another disturbance moving into the region will bring a return of showers and thunderstorms by late Sunday.
