This is the regional weather summary for the eastern two-thirds
of Montana, southern Saskatchewan, and western North Dakota.

An upper level ridge builds across the region Friday, leading to
greater instability, prompting chances for severe weather across
eastern Montana and western North Dakota. Then the region
transitions into a trough pattern, leading to a wetter and cooler
upcoming week.

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies. Lows will be in the 40s and
50s.

Friday, expect showers and thunderstorms to develop in the
afternoon. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s.

Friday night, showers and thunderstorms push off to the east. Lows
will be in the 50s and 60s.
