Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Glasgow MT
224 PM MDT Thu Jun 20 2024

This is the regional weather summary for the eastern two-thirds
of Montana, southern Saskatchewan, and western North Dakota.

Surface high pressure across the region today is accompanied by a
weak boundary in the wind field. Scattered virga showers and
isolated thunderstorms are beginning to form along this convergence.
High temperatures today will range from near 70 in the north to near
80 in the south. South of the boundary, winds are generally from the
east-southeast at 10 to 15 mph. North of the boundary, winds are
generally from the east-northeast at 10 to 15 mph.

Through this evening, marginally severe thunderstorms will be
confined to this boundary area from Lewistown toward Sidney. Some
slow-moving storm may produce large hail and heavy rain. Low
temperatures will be in the 50s. Aside from the immediate storms,
winds will generally remain from the east at 10 mph.

Friday, some lingering morning rain showers in southern portions of
the region will give way to more widespread severe thunderstorms
through the afternoon and evening hours. Expect high temperatures in
the 70s and winds from the southeast at 15 mph.
