...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Dawson.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 841 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    French Creek, West Buffalo Creek, Elm Creek, Kilgore Creek,
    Wood River, Spring Creek, Otter Creek, Buffalo Creek, and
    Crooked Creek
    Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cozad, Sumner and Eddyville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
