This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hot weather will impact the region today. Heat index values will
approach or reach 100 degrees this afternoon. The hottest
temperatures will impact the area from approximately 2PM to 9PM
today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Starting with the heat concern, Thursday will be another hot day
with north central Kansas and potentially Thayer and Nuckolls
counties in south central Nebraska experiencing heat index values
of 100 to 105 degrees Thursday afternoon.

For thunderstorm potential, there is a slight chance of
thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening, mainly across north
central Kansas first with chances expanding into south central
Nebraska overnight into Friday morning. Areas roughly from
Interstate 80 south are in a Marginal Risk for severe weather
Thursday afternoon and evening. Friday through Tuesday,
thunderstorm chances will continue with the highest chances being
Friday evening and Friday night. The entire forecast area is in a
Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms Friday evening and Friday
night.
