This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

There is a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms this evening,
primarily after 7PM, beginning in areas west of Highway 281. Storm
chances expand east through the evening and into the overnight
hours. Any storms that develop may have the potential to produce
wind gusts as high as 70MPH and hail to the size of half dollars.
An isolated tornado and some localized flooding may also be
possible. The best chance for severe weather will be between 7PM
and 11PM. Later into the evening, thunderstorm activity may
continue, with storms generally below severe limits.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Periodic thunderstorms will be possible over the weekend and into
mid-week across at least a part of the outlook area. A few strong
to severe thunderstorms may be possible Monday afternoon and
evening.

The heat returns Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures
approaching 100 degrees in areas. Heat index values around 100 to
105 degrees are expected. The higher temperatures and heat index
values will be along and south of the Kansas Nebraska border.
