A weak cold front is expected to move through the region today. The
high temperatures forecast will vary today with highs in the mid 80s
for central Nebraska to around 100 degrees for Northern Kansas. The
winds will be South-southwest at 5 to 10mph and winds will increase
and become northeasterly in the afternoon with gusts to around 30mph
possible. The majority of the area is expected to be dry today and
northern Kansas has the best chances for precipitation this
afternoon and evening. Friday has better chances for thunderstorms
and storms could linger into Saturday morning. Another round of
storms could be possible Saturday evening for areas east of Hwy 281.
