.DISCUSSION...High pressure remains in place through the weekend,
although today and tomorrow will be the warmest and driest days
of the period, with typical afternoon gusts of 25-30 mph leading to
a chance of localized critical fire weather conditions. Highs will be
10-15 degrees above normal, with triple digits likely across the desert
valleys. Increasing moisture beginning Friday afternoon will bring
increasing coverage of mountain showers and thunderstorms and a
gradual cooling trend.
