.DISCUSSION...Active weather will be the norm during the latter
part of the morning. Showers and embedded thunderstorms will be
moving into the area in the next hour with a high likelihood by
noon. This activity has generated wind gusts in excess of 55 mph
at a number of locations along with brief heavy rain and dangerous
lightning. Thunderstorm activity will become more scattered around
the area this afternoon as dry air works in ahead of a cold front,
though winds will be picking up with the front`s approach.

.REST OF TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (65-75 percent). Showers likely
                    and slight chance of thunderstorms late in the
                    morning, then showers and chance of
                    thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Max temperature.....70-75.
Surface winds.......Upslope/upvalley winds 3 to 8 mph becoming
                    southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35
                    mph in the afternoon.
