...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN MONTROSE AND
SOUTHWESTERN MESA COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM MDT...

At 247 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms 10 miles northwest of Nucla, or 30 miles east of La
Sal, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nucla, Naturita, Escalante Forks, Paradox, Vancorum, Bedrock, and
Uravan.

This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 90 between mile markers 3 and 33.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 55 and 94.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 115 and 116.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
